Another successful conference!

We have now delivered our training to over 265 colleagues from 10 different Local Authority areas.

We were thrilled to host over 60 delegates to our SEND Conference in Hull on Wednesday 18 June, which was a re-run of the session held on 2 April. We have now delivered our training to over 265 colleagues from 10 different Local Authority areas.

The focus of the day was a curriculum tailored specifically for pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties. This vital area of education was explored in depth, with sessions offering valuable insights, practical strategies, and useful resources.

Rachel Wilkes, CEO, opened the event and set the tone for a day full of learning and collaboration. A huge thank you goes to our fantastic speakers Berni Moorcroft, Vicky McGuire and Alec Young, whose expertise and engaging presentations were a highlight of the day. The glow sticks in the dark were a fun addition and the ice pops were a fabulous surprise!

Throughout the conference, attendees showed genuine enthusiasm, engaging actively in sessions and discussions. The opportunity to connect and network was well-received, with many meaningful conversations and ideas shared; key highlights have been shared in our video here: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7341441153549963264

We’d like to extend a special thank you to Hull City Council for subsidising the venue and refreshments. Our sincere thanks also go to the dedicated staff and helpers who ensured the event ran smoothly behind the scenes and to the team at Tigers Events at The MKM Stadium, whose warm hospitality contributed to the overall success of the day.

Once again, thank you to everyone who helped make this conference both memorable and impactful. We’re already looking forward to what’s next – stay tuned for future updates!
