Thank you to everyone who joined us for our SEND Conference, held in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council on 6 November. We were thrilled to welcome 130 delegates to a day dedicated to deepening understanding and enhancing practice in the education of pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties.

The conference focused on a curriculum tailored to meet the needs of these learners, offering rich insights, practical strategies and valuable resources. The day began with a warm welcome from Rachel Wilkes, CEO of Humber Education Trust, and Tom Chamberlain, Director of Education Schools and Inclusion at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, setting the tone for a collaborative and inspiring event.

We were privileged to host sessions led by Berni Moorcroft, Vicky McGuire, Alec Young and Rebecca Clark. Their expertise and engaging presentations brought the curriculum to life and the surprise addition of glow sticks in the dark added a fun and memorable twist! A huge thank you to Berni, Vicky, Alec and Rebecca for making the day so impactful.

Delegates were fully engaged throughout, actively participating in discussions and hands-on activities as you can see in our video. The networking opportunities were especially valued, allowing professionals to connect and share ideas. Feedback from attendees captured the spirit of the day:
