Cambridge Park Academy’s Seafood Stars!

An exciting culinary showdown!

Recently, schools from across Lincolnshire came together for an exciting culinary showdown, the very first Junior Seafood Chef of 2025 competition. Hosted at the UK Seafood School, this prestigious event celebrated Grimsby’s rich seafood heritage and challenged young chefs to design, prepare and cook a starter and main course with the theme ‘A Celebration of Grimsby Seafood.’

The competition was fierce, with 24 talented young people forming 8 teams from 6 schools, all showcasing their creativity and skills. Among them were some of Cambridge Park Academy’s incredible Year 9 and 10 pupils and they didn’t just take part, they took home first place!

Their dedication and hard work in the lead-up to the event truly paid off as seen in the following video. The pupils are so proud of their win as are we – what an achievement and so well deserved!

It was an amazing day filled with teamwork, talent and delicious dishes. Every school brought their A Game, making the judges’ job a tough one.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who supported this event, especially Carrie at GIFHE, Jo Woodhouse from Made Great in Grimsby and all the fantastic businesses who made this competition possible. And of course, a big well done to all the other schools.

Bring on next year! Well done Team Cambridge Park.

Where everybody counts, every moment matters.
