‘Strong Standard’ Ofsted Result Reflects Clifton Primary School’s Commitment to Every Child

Clifton Primary School, proud to be part of Humber Education Trust, is delighted to announce that it has achieved a ‘strong standard’ across all areas in its recent Ofsted inspection under the new Ofsted framework. The report praises the school’s commitment to excellence, noting that “pupils thrive at this highly inclusive school that is rooted in respect” which reflects the dedication of staff, pupils and the wider school community.
Inspectors highlighted the warm, respectful relationships across the school and commended staff for ensuring that “pupils get the right help at the right time.” Leadership and governance were acknowledged for having a deep understanding of the school’s context, strengths and priorities, fostering “a professional, respectful culture where staff feel valued and safe.”
The report further noted that “pupils are proud of their school and there is a strong sense of belonging,” with parents commenting that “children are at the heart of everything that is done here.” Clifton Primary School’s highly regarded approach to inclusion was also celebrated, with inspectors stating that “inclusion underpins all of the practice at Clifton Primary School.”
Headteacher Terri Hadfield expressed her delight at the outcome:
“At Clifton Primary School our vision is to give children the knowledge, skills and voice to develop their character so that they are able to flourish. I was delighted to hear that the Inspectors recognised this, including that pupils are happy and feel safe, thriving both socially and academically.
