Neasden Primary School Earns Prestigious School Games Gold Mark Award

Neasden Primary School, proud to be part of Humber Education Trust, is delighted to announce it has been awarded the prestigious School Games Gold Mark Award. This government-led accolade recognises schools that demonstrate a deep commitment to the development of sport and physical activity, both within school and the wider community.
This award reflects Neasden Primary School’s unwavering dedication to embedding sport at the heart of school life. From inclusive physical education sessions to a wide range of competitive sporting opportunities, the school has created an environment where every student is encouraged to participate, achieve their personal best and develop vital life skills through sport. Recent highlights include success for the football team, having wonderful pupil Sport Ambassadors and the accomplishment of the ambitious Physical Education Curriculum featuring sports such as gymnastics, yoga, swimming, dance and tennis.
Achieving Gold status highlights the school's exceptional efforts in promoting physical activity, fostering teamwork and resilience. Staff, students and the wider school community have worked together to build a culture that celebrates effort, encourages excellence and values the role of sport in a well-rounded education. The school are excited that this new school year sees the start of exciting clubs including table tennis and darts – perhaps they will discover the next Luke Littler!
Ruben, a pupil at Neasden Primary School said: "It's amazing! It's great to see all our hard work and effort in sports being recognised. I'm really proud of our school for getting the gold rating."

Our vision is to create an environment where every child can achieve the highest standards across all areas of school life. I’m absolutely delighted that the School Games has recognised the dedication and passion our staff and students invest in promoting both sport and inclusivity. For us, sport is far more than just an activity; it’s a powerful vehicle for building confidence, community and character. Our pupils truly embody what it means to lead and serve through sport and we couldn’t be prouder of what they continue to achieve!”
