Empowering SEND Education

Highlights from our SEND Conference in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our SEND Conference last week, held in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council. We were delighted to welcome over 40 delegates to a day dedicated to deepening understanding and enhancing practice in the education of pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties.
The conference centred on developing a curriculum tailored to the unique needs of these learners, offering rich insights, practical strategies and resources for immediate use. The day opened with a warm welcome from Rachel Wilkes, CEO of Humber Education Trust, setting a collaborative and inspiring tone for the event.
We were privileged to host sessions led by Berni Moorcroft and Alec Young, whose knowledge, energy and engaging presentations brought the curriculum to life. The newly suggested Humber Education Trust Spice Girl/Chip Spice band was a memorable highlight! A huge thank you to Berni and Alec for making the day so impactful.
Delegates remained fully engaged throughout the day, participating in discussions and hands-on activities, as you can see in our video here: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/humber-education-trust_hethighlights-activity-7437891487478161408-yZ78?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAFf2H14BKgwvrjwNQ5thZma5vcLEUScDBQ8
One delegate captured the spirit of the day perfectly: “๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐ค๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐ ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ ๐กโ๐๐ก ๐ค๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ก๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐. ๐ด ๐๐ข๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐โ ๐ก๐ ๐ ๐ค๐๐๐-๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ก๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฆ.”
We extend our sincere thanks to North East Lincolnshire Council for subsidising the venue and refreshments, and to the dedicated staff and helpers who ensured everything ran smoothly. Special thanks also go to the team at Humber Royal for their hospitality.
Where everybody counts, every moment matters.
