Celebrating a Fantastic Careers Day at Broadacre Primary

Broadening horizons!

We’re delighted to recognise the tremendous success of last month’s Careers Day at Broadacre Primary School. It was an inspiring event that engaged 180 pupils in a day full of exploration, curiosity and ambition.

Throughout the day, pupils had the opportunity to visit a wide range of career stands, where they confidently asked thoughtful and relevant questions about different roles, career pathways and what it takes to succeed in each industry. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and maturity from our young learners.

The school extended their sincere thanks to all the professionals who gave their time and energy to make the event so impactful including:

  • Flex Dance Inc
  • Fraud Investigation Team
  • Hobson & Porter
  • Hull Museums
  • Hull Truck Theatre
  • Jessika – Singer
  • MC4C Business Advisor
  • Mortgage Advisor
  • Radiographer
  • Social Housing
  • Steve Page – Engineer
  • Wren Kitchens

Their insights, experiences and engagement brought the event to life and helped to broaden horizons for the pupils. The positive feedback from visitors highlights just how special the day was:

“I really enjoyed attending the careers fair and speaking with the pupils. The children were exceptionally polite, enthusiastic, and eager to engage, asking thoughtful questions about different careers and industries. It was a pleasure to interact with them all and see such genuine interest in their futures.”

“Thank you for having us, we had a lovely time chatting to your Year 5 and 6 classes. They were lovely and polite as last year.”

“Thanks for having me, I really enjoyed it. The children were all delightful and many of them showed genuine interest, which was fantastic.”

Following their engagement with visitors and their stalls, pupils took part in feedback sessions to share what they had learned. They demonstrated a clear understanding of different career routes and reflected thoughtfully on their future aspirations.

A huge well done to the staff and organisers who made this meaningful and memorable day possible. Events like this play a vital role in inspiring our young people and helping them to see the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

Fantastic work, Broadacre Primary!
